thanks for stopping by my little blog, i hope you enjoy what you see and check back often. my “plan” is to blog every weekday but i may do more, not really sure at this point. every day will have somewhat of a theme and i will also welcome guest bloggers so stay tuned for that. i really appreciate all the support and love of my family and friends in this new little venture. this has been a huge challenge for me attached with many fears but i am just going to go for it. why not, right? as far as the name goes, i used this “sign-off” in several of my notes & emails over the past few years so i found it only fitting for it to be the name of my blog. it represents me outside of my main business, EDGD, and allows me to write about stuff that inspires me.

before becoming a graphic designer, i spent many years in school and working in the visual merchandising and display design industry. i would say it’s my second love next to graphic design and is what fuels a lot of my creativity. if i feel stuck on a design project, i may get away from the computer and go thrift store shopping, refinish some old furniture, redecorate/rearrange a room or just anything that i can create with my hands. Sometimes using a different part of my brain for awhile helps open my mind up and possibly helps me gain a new perspective on my design projects. these in between times are really the heart and soul of me and i look forward to them often. so, here, is where i hope to share some of that with you and maybe it will inspire you as well.

i will also have some posts in regards to graphic design so that folks get how i run my freelancing business. i have very strong opinions about my design process and will share those with you soon. i take it very seriously and feel my design projects are more of an art form rather than robotic or machine like. i hope you enjoy all future posts and hope that you come back often. feel free to leave comments and suggestions.
